ISM Certification
Certification in accordance with the International Safety Management Code and made mandatory under Chapter IX of SOLAS 74 Convention.
This certification leads to the issuance of two certificates:
- Document of Compliance (DOC), issued to the Company to confirm compliance with Code requirements.
- Safety Management Certificate (SMC), issued to each ship of the Company and meaning that the shipboard management system is implemented and operated in accordance with the Code.
The initial certification is achieved following the respective initial audit. For the maintenance of the certification periodical audits are required.
